Sadatan is India’s leading manufacturer of Ayurvedic & Spa products. We have been supplying products across India and over 20 countries worldwide since 1980.

Our founding company (Puma Ayurvedic Herbals Pvt. Ltd.) was established in 1980 as an R&D Laboratory, to study the principles of Ayurveda with a scientific, modern approach. Our first assignment was to create a natural line of dermatological products that was marketed in India and South East Asia. With time, we established Sadatan Ayurveda Pvt Ltd as an Ayurvedic third-party manufacturing company. 

We manufacture a wide range of products both in our brand name as well as in private label (buyer’s label). Our Expertise is in Private Labelling, Customized Formulation, Global Acceptance Formulation, Third-party Ayurvedic Manufacturer and Professional Technical Staff.

With over 25 years of Ayurvedic expertise, we launched Iraya in 2006 as a high-end spa brand. It became a leader across South Asia, winning awards and setting benchmarks in the industry. In 2012, we expanded into retail and online. By 2018, Iraya merged with one of India’s largest retail groups. Today, we are a trusted Ayurvedic third-party manufacturing company and a reliable third-party Ayurvedic manufacturer for quality wellness products.

Our History
(1980 onwards)

1980
Puma Ayurvedic Herbals established as an R&D laboratory. A team of Ayurvedic Doctors developed 10 Ayurvedic formulations, for skin and hair treatment and beautification. In consultation with a cosmetologist, these were suitably modified for modern day customers.
Puma’s Manufacturing facility in the city of Nagpur. Retail sales started. Creams and oils were packed in Ceramic jars and bottles, while powders were packed in sachets and sold on Bamboo woven baskets.

Puma Retail Counter opened at Taj Mahal Hotel Colaba and Intershoppe at Kemp’s Corner, in Bombay
First exports to Singapore & Malaysia in association with Thistle & Thyme House of Beauty.
1984

motivated by excellent consumer response we selected 2 products to be widely distributed through chemists and beauty parlours across India. We were approached by Shaw Wallace and Co, Kolkata to be our country-wide distributors and marketing associate. In 1985, Manu Chhabria took over the company and decided to stop this verticle.
Puma restarts Retail operations across India with our own team

In addition to Singapore and Malaysia, we started exports to France.
Exports start to Italy under brand Omantra

We built a new factory on outskirts of the city and shifted all our manufacturing, research and development activity there.
We were manufacturing products for different brands and sold off Brand name Puma to the Baidyanath Group.

Sadatan Ayurveda Pvt Ltd was started. Brand names Iraya, Kamantra, Vedaya were registered.
5 Iraya Launch at Serena Spa Park Hyatt, Goa & Quan Spa JW Marriott, Mumbai for professional use & retail.

Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa voted as the “Number One Spa in the World”and “Best Spa in Asia and Indian Subcontinent” by Conde Nast Traveller Reader’s Spa Awards 2006, leading to huge increase in professional Spa clients for Iraya
Exports started to Russia under brand “D’Alpana”, first of four exclusive stores opened in Piter Mall, St. Petersburg
